MotorcycleInfo.org was created by John Clay as a family-friendly online resource available for all motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts. An important point is that we include those that do not currently ride, but are interested to get started.
We believe in riding responsibly, safely, and in helping promote motorcycles and scooters in a positive and fun manner, such as in participating in charity rides and community events.
We also believe that voluntary motorcycle safety training, such as offered via Motorcycle Safety Foundation, is a crucial element of riding, whether you are just getting you motorcycle license or if you have already been riding for several years, you will absolutely be surprised how much you will benefit from it.
About the author:
John Clay is a mechanical engineer and a motorcycle enthusiast. He started riding on trail bikes at young age, such as the Honda Z50 and CT-70 Mini Trail. He moved up to a Hodaka Dirt Squirt 100 while some of his friends had much nicer and newer motocross bikes. He began wrenching on his friend’s bikes at CNYMRA motocross events and continued to work on motorcycles and cars as a hobby. He eventually moved to drag racing a front engine dragster as a hobby after he sold his 1984 VF750F Interceptor. John currently rides a Moto Guzzi California Vintage. Interestingly, Dave Despain, from SPEED TV’s Wind Tunnel show happened to stop by the Guzzi shop the day John picked up his new Guzzi and kindly posed for a few photos.
