Ducati Monster 1100 EVO recall for rear wheelDucati Monster 1100 EVO 2011-2012 models are being recalled due to possibility of rear wheel spokes developing cracks.  Look for code DU-6RR on the rear wheel rim.  Any cracks in the wheel rim could lead to an accident.

What will be done about it?  Ducati will replace the rear wheel rim at no charge.  At the time writing this article, the schedule for contacting owners and replacing wheel rims has not yet been announced.

Owners of the 2011-2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO can contact Ducati North America by calling 1-800-231-6696.  Refer to Ducat recall RCL-12-002 and/or National Highway Traffic Safety Administration campaign NHSTA 12V073000.
